A "Personal Life Log Technology" is to be developed that would allow an individual to collect, categorize and retrieve all information that he or she encounters everyday as needed.
Korea Institute of Science & Technology Evaluation and Planning and Samsung Economic Research Institute jointly hosted an "International Symposium on Future Mapping" on February 6 to introduce 10 prominent future technologies: brain-machine interface, RNA-based drug developing technology, graphene nano structure, pollution-free energy technology for low-grade coal, fuel-sensitive solar cell, smart space cognitive communication technology, reverse-differentiated stem cell, anatomical communication technology, cognitive robot technology and personal life log technology.
The recent selection of technologies covers various technological sectors from biotechnology to IT and green technology, hinting how lives will change in the future. The ten technologies were yielded through debate among professionals in technology, humanity and social sectors from a candidate pool that had been primarily constituted by technology experts.
