Yad Vashem Holocaust museum visitors in Jerusalem before start of Holocaust Remembrnce Day People visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial
A Jew passes in the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial museum in Jerusalem on 20 April 2009 that shows the railroad tracks leading to the Auschwitz death camp in Poland, just prior to Israel marking Holocaust Remembrace Day. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke out against the United Nations' global conference on racism for hosting Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has suggested the Holocaust never happened and has called repeatedly for Israel's destruction, saying 'Regrettably, not everyone has learned the lessons of the Holocaust.' Netanyahu also said that Ahmadinejad 'is a racist and a Holocaust-denier who doesn't conceal his intention to wipe Israel off the face of this earth. I laud those who are boycotting this display of hatred.' Israel commemorates and honors the six-million Jews exterminated by the Nazis during the Holocaust of World War II beginning with a service in Yad Vashem this evening. EPA/MIRIAM ALSTER ISRAEL OUT
